Weather Idiots were wrong again.....
Fast Outgoing Tide + East wind made for tough Fishing.......Paddling

Snook:0 (saw them in the cuts and back water)
Reds:0 don't know why.....maybe the Mullet Neters spooked them

Bishops Harbor

Met Derrick at 6:00 am at Bishops Harbor.....Dave and his buddy and Terry were a No Show....
Wind was already up.......
2 Spec Trout for all my work(paddling a canoe in the wind).....
Saw Reds and Snook but they had Lockjaw.......

Not many fish caught all day 48 Anglers 3 Red Fish caught.
Thats why it's called Fishing not Catching.....

At one point I paddled my Canoe with all my strength and kept going backwards........I actually had to head out and swing around to Tack back in to Land.......

Excellent weather
Water temp down slightly
2 Reds 20" and 22" both on Capt Mikes Gold Spoon
Lost 2 others.
Way too many Cats to count.
Red Sled is perfect for my style Fishing.

PFTS #1 Dynamic Duo

Location: Picnic Island
Lures: Capt. Mike Gold Spoon; Mirrodine
Results: Got a late start due to launch location problems(last minute change in locations). Picked up a bunch of Ladyfish instantly, one small Trout, two cats.........
Great time love the 2 lure format.

Finally August is over the fishing is heating up PFTS kicks off in 3 weeks......
Steelers seem ready to make a run at #7.........

Over a week

Sore back, hot weather, yard work.....have kept me off the water for over a week......that will change soon........

At one point I caught a Jack on every cast that lasted about 20 min..........
Huge Ladyfish as well.....Some Trout 15"-19" range......
One Red 22" in 4" of water

1st Trip

Today was the "Red Sled" first fishing trip
Took her out to CRB
This boat will be excellent for Fly Fishing I can stand and pole and she drafts 3" of water.
Today was more of a test run but I did manage to pick up a few seatrout...........
High winds the rest of the week will limit my fishing...........

Grilling on the 4th

Made the FlatsSteeler 4th of July Steak kabobs.......only to run out of gas on the Grill(like this has never happened before) Janet just laughed as I had my usual ran out of propane fit blaming the grill not the griller...............

West Wind

The wind out of the west, rain, and heat have kept me off of the water for 2 weeks.......
Picked up a Cajun Pirogue yesterday from Ryan(RedFisher) and will be getting it wet this week..........Pics to be added soon........

Beach Snook Fishing

Fished AMI(5/28) and Longboat Key(5/26)............caught some Flatties as well as a few small Snook

Both Boats are now sold..........Steelers are in the SuperBowl.....
